GDPR Compliance Statement
The General Data Protection Regulation is effective starting 25 May 2018 (GDPR). The GDPR aims to strengthen the security and protection of personal data in the EU and will replace the European Privacy Directive and national legislations accordingly.
Serverius welcomes the arrival of the GDPR. The success of our company builds on the trust that our employees, customers and suppliers have in our ability to deliver premier quality services for more than 10 years. This includes our ability to apply a high level of data protection and security in relation to personal data that our employees, customers and third parties entrust to us.
Serverius considers its duty to comply with national and international data protection regulations as far as applicable. This allows us to deliver the transparency, predictability and consistency that our clients, suppliers and employees expect from us.
Being an ISO certified company, we have multiple technical and organizational measures in place to ascertain a high level for security and compliance within our datacenters and offered services.
Physical datacenter security
As a provider of datacenter facilities, we are primarily involved in the physical security of our data centers as well as of the customer areas. We do not have direct access to customer’s network data nor data systems and/or any personal data in these systems.
Data protection & security
For security purposes our visitors shall be required to register personal data, and, if applicable, provide fingerprints. Additionally, CCTV recordings will be made at both the entrance of the datacenter as well as in the customer areas. These personal data will be processed in compliance with the applicable GDPR principles. Among other things, this means that personal data will not be kept longer than strictly necessary for the purpose.
We implemented a consistent level of data protection and security in our Carrier and datacenters infrastructure services. This includes keeping internal records of all our data processing activities and having a process to accommodate the rights of our data subjects. If you are a client and you have questions about the usage of GDPR (AVG) feel free to contact us.
